Scout Blast 1998

Every year around the middle of May Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts get together and run a booth for their troop or pack. Out here in North Florida its held at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. The famalies have the oppertunity to camp on the base with all the other Scout groups. The Cub Scouts camp as a family while the Boy Scouts camp as a troop leaving the parents at home. This year it was quite crowded in the camping area, but it was fun.

This year our pack's booth was about the History of the United States Flag. The boys made all the different flags that flew in the United States, handed out a little quiz to test you knowledge of the Flag, and held demonstrations on how to lower, fold, and raise the flag. They did such a wonderful job and as a Pack they won second place in district.
